![]() Still slowish, but not as painful as before. Restarted LR and reauthenticated it seems to be working again. ![]() That was OK but when I reselected the Flickr panel and things got bad again, eventually getting this error Then I tried navigating around the catalog while the updates were going on. It did eventually come back with a list of photos needing to be republished. Seconds are much better than minutes.īut now I've gone and gone and stress tested it by setting off three publishing updates, and then trying to select a fourth album, it's slowed down again, but still much better than before. You would think that with 50MP of bandwidth that it would not take so long to compare local and on-line versions of all the published images, but who knows what else is going on behind the scenes. Then about another ten seconds to open the Flickr panel again, and four or five seconds to switch between Flickr collections, or "Albums" in Flickr-speak. Once the Flicker panel is open, it took about 10 seconds to collapse it and select something else (a random collection). Well a did the reauthentication thing, and that does seem to have had quite a big impact. I've checked my catalog and al seems will with it. However, today "wait a while" has turned into wait several minutes while LR goes though a long, long 'not responding' phase. The idea is that when I revise a published collection, I only have to open the FLICKR service, wait a while, and then click the Publish button. One that happens I then create a smart collection in the FLICKR service that references my "regular collection'. I really only use the FLICKR service, bit this slowness issue is so bad that I have had to adopt a workaround which involves creating a regular connection in LR, doing all the edits there, and then when I'm ready to publish I go to the Publishing services, and have to wait sometimes a few minutes for LR to settle down and allow me to do anything. This in before even choosing a service and hitting the Publish button. or you can install ' Flickr's upload client applet, which accomplishes the job. For as long as I can recall, after clicking the Publishing Services drop-down arrow Lightroom Classic is very slow to present the list of services. The choices include sedate slow motion, fastpaced MTV, children's themes.
